TRAINING SPECIALIST, SR. - Corporate

FLSA Exempt: $60,000-$64,000 annually

The Senior Training Specialist contributes to the success of McGee Air Services by solving and executing on our training needs through the development and delivery of training materials. This role supports and guides training development best practices, skill development, and ongoing learning opportunities. They will assist in monitoring the effectiveness of training and identify and drive ongoing improvements for training throughout the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take on ambiguous challenges to understand user goals and objectives and identify appropriate content deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Apply industry methodologies to write and revise content deliverables (e.g. online course materials, job aides, classroom materials) per approved content plans, and ensuing content deliverables adhere to established standards.
  • Facilitate informal and formal reviews with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other applicable team members.
  • Regularly report on project status and recognize potential problems and promptly report issues to manager.
  • Deliver instructor-led training and train-the-trainer sessions as needed.
  • Support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs; making sure they meet the needs of the business.
  • Utilize technology to implement and enhance planned training initiatives including live training and e-Learning
  • Utilize the learning management system (LMS) to upload, test, create and edit course trees, and archive courses as needed.
  • Coordinate training schedules for implementation of new learning management system (LMS)
  • Demonstrate and maintain open and honest communication, creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture that demonstrates McGee's values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability, and Pride.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in education or relevant field preferred
  • At least 2 years of developing eLearning modules and writing instructor led lesson plans, incorporating adult learning principles required
  • At least 1 year of training facilitation experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of airline operational experience required
  • Flexibility to support travel (approximately 25-50%) required
  • At least 1 year of previous leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency with learning management systems preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to establish positive, professional rapport with others
  • Ability to multi-task, remain organized, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment
  • Energetic, dynamic and motivational presentation/training style
  • Capable of influencing and engaging in partnership with others to accomplish common objectives
  • Ability to complete projects independently using strong time management, planning, project management, and problem resolution skills
  • Team-oriented and flexible in approach to change and type of work assigned
  • Passion for customer service and high expectations for quality and accuracy
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
