STATION AGENT-CUSTOMER SERVICE - Part-Time

Station Agents Customer Service are key members of McGee and perform duties necessary to provide passenger support with a focus on Safety and Service. This role works in a fast-paced environment providing travel assistance to passengers in both above as well as below wing functions as needed.

JOB FUNCTIONS

ABOVE THE WING

  • Assists customers with travel need including check-in, boarding, and general travel questions
  • Performs computer and paperwork tasks
  • Evaluates and prepares flights by arranging seat assignments and load, coordinating special meals, and upgrades.
  • Performs boarding and gate duties (e.g., checking flight tickets, assisting and directing passengers, making announcements, checking aircraft, and confirming cabin security)
  • Processes and securing passenger luggage.

BELOW THE WING -BAGGAGE HANDLING

  • Perform all facets of aircraft handling (e.g., marshalling, push-back, wing-walking loading and unloading aircraft, cleaning)
  • Maintain work areas and ensure the proper care of equipment.
  • Operate ramp equipment and other equipment such as tugs/tractors, belt loaders and any aircraft motorized or non-motorized equipment.
  • Work outdoors with exposure to the elements and high noise levels for eight hours or more per workday.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Ability to work at a constant and quick pace for up to two consecutive hours
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts; weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and good attendance and punctuality
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to perform work according to set procedures
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand and interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen and fingerprinting required by specific work assignment
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Ability to give/receive oral instructions in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
