Manager, Station Training - SFO, OAK & SJC

The Manager, Station Training will organize, plan and oversee execution of initial and recurrent training for all station team members. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the education and preparation of our staff in baggage handling procedures. You will also guide our station training staff to create consistency of content in training sessions. We're looking for an ambitious, organized and highly efficient expert with previous experience in oversight of the training function. Familiarity with baggage handling role is also helpful for candidates in this position. We offer a competitive total rewards package and a collaborative, high energy work environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness and implement corrective action
  • Assess employees' skills, performance and prepare written evaluations with advice for improvement
  • Develop and deploy training processes and guidelines
  • Lead and mentor team of trainers and coaches ensuring consistency with training guidelines and policies
  • Ensure training is compliant with company policies and all regulations of federal, state and local airport authorities
  • Demonstrate and maintain open and honest communication, creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture that demonstrates McGee's values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability and Pride
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Two years of training oversight/management required
  • Previous supervisory experience effectively coaching and mentoring teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and online research tools required
  • Proven experience in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Previous supervisor experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Learning Management System preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish positive, professional rapport with teammates
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment
  • Team-oriented and flexible in approach to change and type of work assigned
  • Passion for customer service and high expectations for quality and accuracy
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; BS in education or relevant field preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
